The Factory String Band under the direction of Liam Bailey is a semester-long ensemble that explores North American Contra and Square-dance music! This ensemble will incorporate and develop a manageable repertoire of American fiddle tunes in preparation for a proper contra dance to be held at Hart Square. There will be several performances throughout the semester.
This ensemble is suitable for most beginners and ALL intermediate players. Appropriate instrumentation will include, but not limited to: fiddle, flute, whistle, guitar, banjo, mandolin and acoustic bass.
Ages: 11 and up
