Early childhood musical development instructor Rhonda Lickman leads a fun, creative, and educational summer music camp for kids ages 4–8!
SCAMP is a half-day enrichment camp packed with:
S – Spanish: Learn vocabulary and play games while having fun
C – Creativity: Dive into artist-inspired projects and hands-on crafts
A – Arts: Explore music, singing, and instruments
M – Movement: Dance, yoga, and active games to get moving
P – Play: Enjoy outdoor time, lunch, and making new friends

Co-led by HMF Faculty, Maria Grosso and Sarah Goodson, this camp is a great opportunity for experienced and inexperienced alike: kids who have never played before will be introduced to basic music theory and exploring different instruments, while students who currently take (or have taken) music lessons will enjoy ensemble music appropriate for their skill level and dive deeper into music knowledge. Fun activities will merge the two groups daily, focusing on team building games, instruments scavenger hunt, music bingo, outdoor water games, music board games, music crafts and much more.

Led by Tony Eltora and Liam Bailey, students will be placed with a band and given the opportunity to rehearse and develop 2 existing songs and 1 original composition! There will be classes/clinics focusing on band dynamics, songwriting, rehearsal etiquette, performance, stage presence, music history and so MUCH more. The week will end with a BANGER of a concert on Friday night at the Hickory Premier.
