Chet Palmer

Chet is a guitarist that comes from a musical family that has performed professionally for years. Chet started playing guitar at the age of 9. He learned from his dad, Cecil Palmer and cousin Reggie Harris both well known and respected guitarist in western North Carolina. Chet started performing in venues when he was 16 with his first band, Black Market. After returning from military service with the Air Force, Chet performed with The Nautical Wheelers for 10 years. Since 2018, Chet has performed in The Shelby Rae Moore Band which is a very active and popular band in the region. They perform at a variety of venues and festivals. Chet has knowledge in multiple styles of guitar including Blues, Slide Guitar, Classic Rock, Americana and Jazz. He looks forward to sharing the knowledge he has gained from years of experience with students of all ages and experience levels.
